Zoom Drain Sarasota Now Open | September 2023

Zoom Drain Sarasota opened its doors in sunny Florida on August 29, 2023. Run by experienced plumber, contractor, and business owner, Todd Hiser, this is the sixth Zoom Drain operating in the Sunshine State.

Hiser is originally from Pennsylvania but was drawn south because of the beautiful weather, balmy beaches, and abundance of outdoor activities available year-round. Hiser received a BS in operations management and his MBA from Pennsylvania State University. His hands-on experience runs the gamut of service industry and contracting work. He spent six years working with a master plumber and three years as a general contractor. Hiser then moved into corporate America as a senior buyer and project manager for the next 35 years, which provided him with the necessary business acumen to be successful.

When it was time for Hiser to go into business for himself, he was drawn to Zoom Drain for a multitude of reasons. “The franchisor has a huge team that is here to get me up and running, from marketing and accounting to training, the procurement of trucks and equipment, HR, pricing, and manuals for everything,” says Hiser.

Hiser has lived in the Sarasota community since September 2021. He fell in love with the Gulf Coast and its white-sand beaches as well as the local community, which welcomed him and his family with open arms.

Hiser believes that you have to choose what you want to do and, if you have the support structure behind you that will help you grow, success won’t be far behind.

When not providing exceptional drain and sewer services beachside in Sarasota, Hiser can be found kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, playing pickleball and woodworking.
