Why Local Homeowners Choose Our Team in Palm Valley

When a drain problem shows up, you do not have time to train a new company on how homes here are built. You want a team that already understands the types of plumbing systems and common issues in Palm Valley. Our technicians work in this area regularly, so they know the patterns that show up in local kitchens, bathrooms, and main sewer lines.

In many homes here, we see recurring issues from kitchen grease, food scraps, and soap buildup. Bathrooms often suffer from hair, wipes, and hygiene products that do not break down. In older properties and areas with more landscaping, tree roots and shifting soil can also affect outside lines. Because we see these issues often, we know how to look beyond the immediate clog to what may be happening deeper in the pipe.

We handle clogs in individual fixtures and problems that affect more than one drain, such as main line blockages. Our goal is to restore flow while protecting your plumbing. That is why we use mechanical cleaning methods and, when appropriate, other professional tools instead of relying on repeated harsh chemicals that can be hard on pipes and septic systems.

Homeowners also choose Zoom Drain of Jacksonville for how we work inside their homes. Our technicians respect that they are working where your family cooks, bathes, and relaxes. They take care around flooring and fixtures and work to leave the area as tidy as possible when the job is finished. They explain what they are doing in everyday language and answer questions so you know what is happening in your lines before any additional work is performed.

What To Do When Drains Back Up

A sudden backup in a sink, tub, or toilet can be stressful. Taking a few simple steps while you wait for service can help reduce the chance of water damage or a bigger mess. It can also give our team better conditions to diagnose and clear the clog when we arrive.

If one fixture is overflowing, stop running water to that drain right away. For example, if the kitchen sink is filling, turn off the faucet and avoid running the dishwasher. If a toilet is close to overflowing, do not flush again. In many homes, toilets and showers share drain lines, so it is a good idea to pause showers and laundry if you see water coming up in more than one place.

Be cautious about using plungers or store-bought chemicals. Gentle plunging on a single fixture can sometimes help, but forceful plunging on a toilet or repeated use of chemicals can damage seals or pipes. Chemical cleaners can also sit in the line and splash back when a technician opens it, which is unsafe for everyone. Mechanical cleaning methods are usually more effective and safer for your plumbing.

If you notice water backing up in lower-level fixtures during heavy rain, that can sometimes signal a more serious issue in a main line. In those situations, limiting water use in the home can help keep the problem from getting worse until a technician investigates. Once you have taken basic steps to protect the area, calling (904) 467-1118 is the next important move. Let our team know what you are seeing so we can plan the best way to help.

How Our Drain Cleaning Service in Palm Valley Works

Knowing what to expect can make a stressful situation feel more manageable. When you contact Zoom Drain of Jacksonville, our team listens to what is happening in your home and asks a few focused questions. We may ask which fixtures are affected, how long the problem has been going on, and whether you have tried any cleaners or tools already. This information helps us decide what equipment to bring and how to prepare.

When our technician arrives, they introduce themselves and take a quick look at the problem area. They may run small tests, such as running water briefly or checking nearby fixtures, to understand how far the issue might reach. We take care with protective measures in your home, which may include placing drop cloths near the work area and being mindful around flooring and cabinetry.

Once the technician has a better sense of the situation, they choose an appropriate method to clear the line. Smaller clogs in sinks and tubs often respond well to mechanical drain machines that remove or break up the buildup. For tougher problems, or when several fixtures are affected, our team may recommend more advanced methods. These can include high-pressure water jetting to clear heavy buildup or camera inspection to see what is happening inside the pipe.

We aim to address the cause of the problem, not just push it a little farther down the line. If camera inspection is used, the technician can show you images from inside your drain. This can help you understand whether you are dealing with soft buildup, objects stuck in the line, or potential issues like roots or cracks. That way, you are not making decisions in the dark.

Before any additional work is done, we take time to explain our findings and outline your options. You can expect a clear description of what we recommend and why, along with what the work will involve. We strive to keep our communication straightforward, so you know what is happening and what it will take to get your drains flowing again. After the work is completed, the technician tests the fixtures with you and works to leave the area clean and ready to use.

After I tried to fix my washing machine myself — and made things worse by damaging the water valves — Zeke came out and replaced the water outlet box that connects the washing machine. What could’ve been a bigger mess turned into a fast response and smooth fix. Zeke knew exactly what he was doing, and got us back up and running quickly. If it involves drains or plumbing issues, Zeke’s someone you want on speed dial.

William of William's Big Boy Plumbing told me about Zeke and Zoom Drain. We called, and they were able to arrive within a few hours. Our sewer pipe was clogged, so none of the toilets were flushing properly... not the situation one wants to endure for long. Zeke kept us informed when Brandon would arrive. Everyone connected with Zoom Drain was professional and very courteous. Brandon was able to identify the problem and resolve it quickly. With the specialty tools that they have, the resolution was quick and easy. I won't hesitate to call them again!

Zoom Drain are my new heroes! I had a slow washing machine drain for the past year requiring me to watch the drain cycles to prevent an overflow. Called a local plumbing company last week and they scheduled me for Monday, 12 Jan 2026 (today). That company sent two folks that spent two hours snaking out the drain line from the roof vent. The result of that work was a completely stopped drain and water backup into the kitchen sink and the washing machine drain stopped up. Then they said, “Well, we can’t fix it… sorry. But you can call Zoom Drain; we recommend them for calls we can’t fix.” I called Zoom Drain while the first company was still at my home and spoke with Zeke, who advised that he could send someone over today. About an hour and a half later, Brandon from Zoom Drain arrived and immediately went to work. He said he was going to plug the open lines in the house (wash and kitchen sink drains) and jet the drain from the roof. Brandon cleared whatever was clogging the drains within just a few minutes of applying the water jet! The drains cleared better than they had in the past 5 years! Brandon said the drains were cleared, but he wasn’t completely happy with the sound of the drainage, so he returned to the roof and water-jetted a second time. All in all, Brandon was there less than 45 minutes and absolutely cleared out all blockage in the drains from our 62-year-old home. He was a pleasure to have in our home and a true professional. The end result (and my wife’s happiness) was worth every penny of the cost. To repeat myself, Zoom Drain (and Brandon especially) are my new heroes! 5 STARS and highly recommended. Zoom Drain will get my first call from here on out for any plumbing issues.
Carl Bush
Zoom Drain sent two great employees who quickly (15 min) cleared my clogged kitchen sink, and I’m very thankful for a quick response. On the other hand, they charged $350 for a simple task that shouldn’t be more than 1 billable hour and travel expenses, a bit disappointed but good service overall.
Samir Burazerovic
Awesome service! Helped me replace the toilet flapper to property I manage.
Emma
I see the owner Zeke on a weekly basis, and he is very professional and knowledgeable. He gets to the job ASAP and does not leave until the problem is fixed correctly and the customer is happy. Thank you for the great work you and your team do.
Doug Ratterman
While I was taking a shower before work, the toilet overflowed into the master bedroom and closet. When I stepped out of the shower into ankle-deep water, it was quite a shock. I tried plunging; that only sloshed more water on me (yuck). I made several calls to get someone out ASAP and threw down every beach towel I had. The other toilet started making bubbling noises, which only increased my anxiety level. I was advised to not use any toilet or turn on water, and I was covered in toilet water and couldn’t even get ready for work. That was insult to injury after having the shingles for 2 weeks. I was at my breaking point, to say the least. I cried in front of both Zeke and Scott. They were so sweet about it. Those two saved the day for me. Zeke and Scott—thank you both so much for your expertise, promptness, and most of all your kindness!
Jill Cobb
We'd been dealing with a clogged drain for a few weeks and couldn't get anyone to snake it due to lead pipes. Zeke and Brandon came the next day and jetted out our clog in just a few minutes without having to tear out any of our pipes or kitchen cabinets. We appreciated the speedy service and transparency about the cost and any risks. Would 10/10 recommend and would use again.
