Meet the Owners

Wayne and Robert Koehler, the owners of Zoom Drain Columbus, along with Operations Manager Brooke Hokes, bring a wealth of expertise and a deep connection to the Columbus community. Wayne, with an MBA from Case Western and a BS in Finance from Westminster College, has extensive experience in banking and affordable housing, offering exceptional financial management and strategic planning. Robert, an MBA graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Accounting and Finance from St. John's University, has a robust background in corporate development and technology, providing innovative insight as the Franchisee Marketing Point of Contact. Brooke, drawing on her leadership roles at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, brings a strong focus on customer care and operational excellence to the team.

The Koehlers and Brooke share a passion for serving the Columbus service areas, inspired by the city’s vibrant blend of urban and rural living, diverse culture, and welcoming spirit. Since relocating to Columbus in 2017, Wayne and Robert have embraced the area’s growth and unique character, channeling their expertise into building a trusted local business. Their leadership not only focuses on delivering excellent service but also creating opportunities that contribute to the region’s economic and social well-being.

He assessed how to clear out my severely clogged driveway drains (that had caused my garage to flood with the recent storms), and gave me alternative options if his attempts were unsuccessful. And then he cleaned up after he completed the job. Additionally, the cost was very reasonable. I am a property manager for a small duplex community, and Thomas showed up and located the clogged sewer line. He camera'd the line and showed me where the old line was crushed where it met the road. He was able to get the line open temporarily. Thomas from Zoom Drain gave a good estimate for the sewer line replacement and within 24 hours had a crew onsite. The job consisted of removing a section of sidewalk and asphalt. By the next morning the section of sidewalk was replaced, a new section of sewer line had been installed, and the asphalt was patched. Zoom Drain was very quick and professional at a great price.

Had clog issues with a downspout. Mark and Dempsey came out to address it. Upon a camera inspection of my underground pipes, they found multiple breaks throughout the piping layout. In addition, they did attempt to jet out debris with minimal success because of the issues found. I’m going to have to review the proposal to fix as it will require a yard and landscape dig. That said, their customer service was outstanding. They answered my questions and I felt no pressure. I recommend them for similar issues.

Marcus and Dempsey came out today to descale and hydro jet a sewer main pipe. They showed up on time and did not leave until the job was complete. They were both so polite, so respectful, and so very conscientious with all of their work. While working to clear the main line, there were challenges with twists and turns in the pipe. I never saw them once lose their cool or get angry. They kept working diligently and did such an excellent and thorough job. They put a camera in the line several times during the process to know exactly which hydro jet head to use and to inspect the line for debris. I cannot say enough good things about these two men. I highly recommend this company for drain and sewer cleaning. Thank you, Marcus and Dempsey!

After the heavy rains yesterday, I found my sump pump was unable to pump water to the street and the yard was flooding due to it backing up and back out the downspout drain. I contacted Zoom and was able to make an appointment right away online. A tech arrived within a couple of hours. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all my questions while I watched him do the work. The pricing was good and everything was presented up front. He was able to find the blockage and get things moving again. Couldn't be happier with the service and results.

At all levels this company goes above and beyond. My inspection was admittedly a huge pain (my fault, not theirs), and not only did Mark take the time to get me what I needed, his supervisor also came out to bring an extra piece of equipment.
