Trenchless Drain Repairs and Replacement
Our trenchless services typically requires very little, if any, digging
or excavating to repair or replace your drain lines. Some projects may
be best handled Trenchless repair and replacement methods. Zoom provides
two methods of underground pipe repair, Pipe Bursting or ZOOM PowerPipe™
and Pipe Relining. Our Trenchless service allows us to replace underground
pipes without disturbing any surface materials such as: Driveways, Landscaping,
Porches, Sidewalks, Floors, Utilities, Roadway, Parking lots.
ZOOM PowerPipe™
Depending on the condition of your current drain lines, we may recommend
our ZOOM PowerPipe™ trenchless solution. This method, also known
as Pipe Bursting, replaces existing underground pipe of the same or larger
diameter. The first step involves digging small entry and exit holes at
the beginning and end of the damaged pipe. Next, we pull a steel cable
through the existing pipe and attach a splitting wedge to the steel cable
at the entry hole. Then, we attach the hydraulic puller to the exit hole
and let the power supply pull the new pipe through the damaged pipe underground
which breaks up your old pipe while simultaneously installing a new Polyethylene
pipe in its place.
Additional benefits of ZOOM PowerPipe™ solutions include:
- Polyethylene pipe is corrosion-proof, has a zero-leak rate
- It has a 100-year lifespan.
- Its smooth interior is root-proof and even earthquake-resistant.
- It can be installed under concrete slab floors and foundations
- It’s an NSF/IAPMO-Certified system
ZOOM Pipe Relining
Our Pipe Relining Trenchless solution gives you a cost-effective alternative
to traditional dig and trench methods of pipe replacement, while still
offering the structural strength of a new pipe. Using an epoxy liner and
inflatable sleeve, we cure the new material to a flawless finish and you’re
left with a new pipe within the original pipe.
Additional benefits of ZOOM Pipe Relining solutions include:
- The seamless CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) liner eliminates joints, which
increases flow
- The 50+ year design life adds value to your property
- It molds to the host pipe, stops leaks and root intrusion, and can “void”
pipe sections
- It can be installed under concrete slab floors and foundations
- It conforms to non-standard pipe shapes and sizes from 1.5 to 8 inches
- It’s an NSF/IAPMO-Certified system
