David and Kristy Winterbourne, owners of Zoom Drain Phoenix East Valley, bring a unique blend of leadership, creativity, and technical expertise to their new business. David holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, where he completed his graduate research on a gold deposit in Mexico. After graduate school, he transitioned into the tech industry, where he spent 25 years as a software engineer and engineering leader—most recently directing teams and driving performance through process improvement and people-first leadership.

That experience has equipped David with the skills to run an efficient, systems-driven business while building a strong culture rooted in trust and respect. He believes that success in any field—whether tech or trades—comes down to developing great teams and building lasting customer relationships.

Kristy, a ceramic artist specializing in figurative sculpture, brings a creative spirit and deep ties to the local community. Together, they are raising their family in the East Valley, where they’ve lived since 2012. Like many in the region, the Winterbournes are proud transplants who’ve made Arizona their home and are passionate about serving their neighbors.

Outside of work, David enjoys woodworking, architecture, and tinkering in his home shop. Both he and Kristy are dedicated parents who actively support their kids’ interests in robotics, music, role-playing games, and sports.
