"I had a drain backup issue a decade ago in this house because of tree roots in the effluent line. I had been meaning to do preventative maintenance and had Zoom Drain come out to check the line a few months ago, got a video, and clearly needed to have the roots cleaned out again. Well, I got busy with travel and life and did not schedule the work. And guess what, my spidey sense had been correct — six weeks after I got my video and had failed to schedule the work, on what was otherwise a perfect New England fall Sunday morning, I awoke to a drain backup. Luckily, I was able to get scheduled for immediate service by the company and a lovely, professional young man (Ryan) came out to do the work. He worked for several hours rooting out the growth in the line and was very transparent, showing me pictures of what was going on in there. I think the transparency and communication is key to my trusting this service provider. He was very diligent, knowledgeable, and communicative. What a great employee. Problem solved. And now I have learned my life lesson that, instead of just thinking about preventative maintenance, I am going to get Ryan to my house at a minimum every couple of years.
