Why Choose Our Drain Team
When drains back up or sewer lines act up, you do not have time to sort through a long list of general plumbing companies. You want a team that lives in the drain and sewer world every day. That is where we focus, and it is why so many property owners turn to us when clogs keep coming back.
Because we work only on drain and sewer systems, our technicians are familiar with the issues that cause recurring blockages, sewer gas smells, or standing water around floor drains. That focus helps us move quickly from symptoms to root cause. Instead of relying on a temporary fix, we can recommend a plan that fits the condition of your pipes and your budget.
You also need clear, predictable pricing. With our flat-rate approach, you know the cost before work starts, based on the issue we diagnose, not by the minute on a ticking clock. There are no hidden fees added at the end. Our goal is for you to feel confident saying yes because you understand exactly what you are authorizing and what it will cost.
Service experience matters just as much as technical skill. Our technicians arrive on time, in uniform, and in fully stocked trucks. They protect floors and work areas, explain what they are doing, and clean up when the job is finished. We understand that we are guests in your home or business, and we treat it with the same care we would want for our own property.
We also back our work with reliable warranties and ongoing support. If you have questions after we leave, we want you to feel comfortable calling us. Our team is here to help you feel informed about your system and the work that was completed, not left in the dark once the truck pulls away.
Common Drain And Sewer Problems
Drain and sewer issues rarely appear out of nowhere. Often, you will notice a few early signs before a full backup happens. Sinks may drain slowly, toilets may bubble when other fixtures run, or you might catch a persistent sewage odor near floor drains. Paying attention to these changes can help prevent bigger problems later.
In many homes, kitchen drains collect grease, food particles, and soap residue over time. This buildup narrows the inside of the pipe, which leads to frequent clogs and slow-draining sinks. Bathroom drains often face a similar challenge from hair, soap scum, and scale, especially in older plumbing systems where pipes already have rough inner surfaces.
Main sewer lines can develop more serious issues. Tree roots can press into tiny openings in joints, then grow inside the pipe and catch debris. Older materials can crack or shift, allowing soil to enter the line or wastewater to escape. In some commercial properties, heavy grease or debris from operations can build up quickly and compromise the entire system.
Ignoring these warning signs can lead to more than an inconvenience. A full sewer backup can damage floors, walls, and belongings, and can create health concerns if wastewater enters living or working areas. Businesses may need to close temporarily if restrooms or kitchen drains are out of service, which affects staff and customers.
When you reach out to us, we draw on our experience with a wide range of drain and sewer problems. Our technicians have likely seen a situation similar to yours and understand how to approach it efficiently. By combining that knowledge with modern diagnostic tools, we can separate simple clogs from deeper issues that need more attention.

The technician (Dan) who responded to our call was very friendly and determined to fix our issue, which ended up being quite complex. He got it fixed, though, and was helpful in explaining how it got the way it was and how to prevent it from happening again. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was in good working order and cleaned up, even though he had to use a lot of tools trying to figure out and rectify the problem. I was very nervous and hired this outfit simply because they were the ones who could send someone right away. This one turned out well and I recommend them.Eric Thompson

Dan was unable to repair some underlying problem that I was having in one of my duplex units. However, he was very professional and tried everything he could to try and rectify the issue. I'm told he’s incredibly good at resolving drain issues. There's something up with my pipes that no drain person could resolve.Phil Nguyen

Arrived when they said they would. Listened to what we had been experiencing, diagnosed the likely issue, explained what he was going to do, confirmed a positive outcome, and made sure he cleaned up the area afterward. Very courteous and professional.Kurt Kallien

I had an urgent plumbing issue on Mother’s Day. My downstairs sink was clogged, causing water to overflow and run onto the floor. A very professional job!Dave Worth

We had a very vexing and stubbornly clogged shower/bathtub drain. At 11:30 AM I made a request through the Angi app for plumbing/drain cleaning services. I selected Zoom Drain Portland (ZDP) as they are reviewed as a five star service. Yes, indeed … Zoom Drain Portland is a golden five star service. Within a minute of submitting the service request, I was promptly and politely contacted by Mr. Peter. In less than 2 minutes we scheduled a service time (same day) for 6–8 PM. But, just a short 30 minutes later I was contacted by Caiden Ranieri, the assigned ZDP technician, who asked if he could come by earlier, in 25 minutes! I happily agreed. Caiden showed up promptly as we arranged. He explained the service options after reviewing the clogged tub. He got right to work and in spite of a really stuck and challenging clogged drain, our tub/shower now drains perfectly. All before 1:30! The 10% over 65 discount is a nice touch!! I strongly recommend Zoom Drain Portland! Now I can get back to weeding and watering my garlic plot!Bart Lawrence
