Types of Drain & Sewer Problems We Handle
Many people are unsure whether they need simple drain service or a bigger sewer repair. They only know that water is not going where it should. Our team handles a wide range of problems, so you do not have to diagnose the issue before you call.
Inside the home, we routinely clear kitchen sinks that slow down from grease and food buildup, bathroom sinks and tubs clogged with hair and soap, and toilets that clog more often than they should. We also help when laundry drains overflow or when you notice gurgling sounds as water moves between fixtures.
Some issues point toward the main line rather than a single fixture. If you see multiple drains backing up at once, sewage around a basement floor drain, or soft, wet spots in the yard, there may be a problem in the line that carries waste out of your house. In many neighborhoods in Cherry Hill, older clay or cast iron sewer pipes and mature trees can make root intrusion and cracks more likely.
Our goal is to take the pressure off you. Whether the problem turns out to be a small clog close to the sink or a blockage farther down the line, we treat it as our responsibility to track it down and recommend a practical solution. You do not have to decide in advance if you need a drain plumber in Cherry Hill or a sewer crew. You simply call Zoom Drain of South Jersey, and our team takes it from there.
Our Drain & Rooter Process
Not knowing what will happen when a drain plumber arrives can be almost as stressful as the clog itself. We follow a clear process so you understand each step and feel comfortable with the work being done in your home.
When you call, our office asks a few questions about what you are seeing and schedules a visit that fits as well as possible with your day. On arrival, our drain plumber explains the plan, protects nearby floors and fixtures as needed, and starts with a visual check of accessible drains and cleanouts.
If the cause is not obvious, we may recommend a camera inspection to look inside the line. This small camera helps us see buildup, foreign objects, or roots without guesswork. Once we identify the likely problem, we explain what is happening in plain language, outline our options, and provide pricing before work begins. Our goal is to keep you in control of decisions about your home.
For many jobs, a rooter plumber will use the right machine and cable for your situation, whether that means clearing a short kitchen line or working through a long main line. In some cases, we may suggest higher pressure cleaning for heavy buildup. After the drain cleaning service is complete, we test fixtures for proper flow, check that everything is draining smoothly, and clean up the work area so you are not left with extra mess.
Throughout this process, our team works to communicate clearly and answer questions as they come up. Whether the visit stays simple or uncovers a deeper sewer issue, you can expect the same focus on step-by-step explanations and upfront recommendations.
Advanced Tools For Tough Clogs
Some clogs clear quickly with the right cable and a skilled hand. Others involve years of grease buildup, scale on the inside of older pipes, or thick roots growing in from nearby trees. For these problems, we rely on more than a basic snake, which helps us provide thorough drain service rather than a temporary fix.
In many homes in Cherry Hill, long branch lines and older materials make it important to see what is happening before choosing a method. That is why we often use video inspection equipment to look inside the pipe and line locating tools to understand the path of your drains under floors or yards. This approach helps reduce unnecessary cutting, digging, or wall opening.
For heavy buildup, we may use high-pressure water to scrub the inside of the pipe and flush loosened debris out of the system. When trees invade a sewer line, root-cutting tools are used to open the path again so waste can flow. We also have access to maintenance options that can help keep lines cleaner over time when used appropriately.
Some of the tools our team may use include:
- Video cameras to see inside pipes and pinpoint trouble spots
- Locating devices to follow buried lines and find cleanouts
- Different sizes of rooter machines and cables for various pipe diameters
- Root cutting attachments to remove intrusive roots from sewer lines
- High-pressure water equipment for stubborn grease and sludge buildup
By choosing tools based on what we actually see inside your system, our rooter plumber works to clear the immediate problem and reduce the chance of the same clog returning right away. This is one of the ways Zoom Drain of South Jersey aims to provide dependable rooter service in Cherry Hill that homeowners can rely on when drains become a recurring headache.

They recently repaired a sewer pipe in my yard. They did an excellent job! Left the job site as they found it. Had a follow-up call with a plugged line; they came right out to check on it! Turned out to be the township main, but they were helpful and reassuring. Nice, honest people to work with.🌞Bruce Erdman
Chris E. came out in spite of the late hour, solved our problem, and was very professional and courteous!Christina Treutler
Called Zoom to install new faucets on double sink and double shower heads. They scheduled within a week and verified the day before and called when they were on the way over. Technician was great and told us what his plan was and the price. Had to come back the next day with special tool to finish and was done within the hour. We have used them before and again had excellent service and communication. Thank you and would definitely use again.Steve Avis
We used Zoom Drain South Jersey for an estimate. Joe was very professional and knowledgeable!zahra alber

Great experience with Zoom Drain. Two professional technicians came out when they said they would, gave me a straightforward diagnosis and fix all in a few hours. No nonsense and the technicians were transparent about what they were doing, very impressed.Michael Slifer
The gentleman they sent out was on time, organized, and let us know everything he was going to do, and the price, made for no surprise costs. I felt he even went above and beyond his scope of work to try and help us. We were very appreciative of that. I would recommend Zoom to friends and family, and anyone that has plumbing issues. I do everything myself, so it's difficult for me to ask for help. Decided to throw in the towel and call someone local. They came that day. My house drainage system is unique. They said they never saw anything like it. They gave me 2 options and recommended the less expensive one. I gave them the go-ahead and whatever assistance I could. They got it draining and I was happy, but they weren't. They got a larger snake and did it all over again. I haven't seen it drain like that in 20 years. They stuck a camera in it and showed my problem was roots. I was sure it was sediment because everything in my basement drains through it. My thanks to Chris and Joe for all their effort. They will be called next time I see it slow and will have them repair it permanently. Thank you for tolerating me and hope I got your names right. Couldn't be happier.Matthew Sailey
Cleared out a clogged toilet drain. A little sloppy and messy but got the job done.Norman Unsworth
The tech was courteous, efficient, and thorough. We appreciate your quick response to our request.Kristin Abele
Zoom Drain came out same day when my sewer pipe was backing up into my backyard! There was 7 inches of snow on the ground and they still came out and got the job done in no time. And their price was cheaper than the other quotes I got! Can’t recommend them enough!Olivia Accordino
We used Zoom Drain since our local plumber was not available on the weekend. Nothing was draining from the second floor, and we needed Saturday service. The price to come out to the house was $100, which I think is fair for a Saturday. The service technician was friendly and arrived on time. The estimate to clear this clog was on the high end when I researched online. Luckily, it cleared before the repair—I guess the chemical treatment I used finally kicked in. I would call again in an emergency but would stick to my local plumber otherwise due to the estimate given for this repair.Lisa Kunkle
I wanted to leave a wonderful review for Zoom Drain service. We had a major sewer drain malfunction that required a 74 ft length of the drain to be replaced. Brad and his staff at Zoom Drain, which included two crews, did everything possible to avoid having to replace the pipe. Ultimately, it had to be replaced and other repairs had to take place. Our drain was incredibly old. I couldn’t say enough good things about the service that was received. The crew hung in there and stayed till 11:30 at night to restore service to our system. As a business owner, I am incredibly impressed how dedicated the staff of Zoom Drain was to helping us get back to full function. I would strongly recommend their service. They have incredible equipment and highly trained staff. Whether you have a simple clog in a toilet or need something major done with your sewer system, Zoom is definitely the company to choose.Paul DeLaney, DC
The plumber was very nice and knowledgeable. I do feel like it was more on the expensive side for just a clean out.Kathleen Lemke
